WINSTON-SALEM, NC (Press Release, April 9, 2009) Joy FM, a Southern Gospel radio network, is pleased to accept the award for 2010 Gospel Music Association’s Southern Gospel Station of the Year. The award will be presented at the 41st Annual Dove Awards at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN on April 21, 2010.
The Radio Station of the Year award is presented to the Christian radio station that meets the highest standards of quality and has the strongest impact on its listening areas. The recipient was determined by a panel of judges who based their judgments on community involvement, ratings, broadcast programming and air talent quality, and industry leadership.
“On behalf of the entire GMA membership, Board of Directors and staff, I want to extend to Joy FM our heartfelt congratulations for being chosen to receive these awards,” stated Ed Leonard, Chairman of the Board of the GMA. “We are thankful for their invaluable contribution to Gospel music and at the impact they are each making around the world.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – April 6, 2010 – The Gospel Music Association (GMA) is pleased to announce the recipients of the International Award and Radio Stations of the Year for 2010.
This year’s GMA International Award is given to Hillsong United. The International Award honors a performer or organization from outside of the U.S. that has made an impact not just in his or her own country, but also in the world at large. The recipient is selected by a special committee of international representative members of the GMA.

Hillsong United is about the youth generation encountering God in a way that changes them from the inside out while seeking to give a voice to others.
