Favorite Food: "Seafood: Crab legs, flounder, catfish, you name it."
People are surprised when the find out: "I had a job cleaning carpet to work my way through college. And I still clean my own carpet at home."
Background in Radio: "I started working in high school at WPIR in Claremont broadcasting football games. Also worked at various stations in Virginia including WRVL Christian radio where I was News and Sports Director.

Shelley Hicks - Office Manager, On-Air Personality Weekday Afternoons 3pm-7pm and Day Sponsor Coordinator ~ Hickory, NC

Shelley and her husband, Tim live in Conover, NC with her 3 dogs, Yellow Dog, Bobo and Dupree. Her daughter Kati and and son-in-law, Coty live close by in Hickory, Shelley loves going to concerts and meeting all the Joy FM listeners and feels very blessed to be a part of such an awesome ministry here at Joy FM.

Favorite Hobbies: Going to Southern Gospel Concerts, Watching Carolina Basketball, Carolina Panthers Football, and going on road trips with my family and best friends,aka her PIC's (Partners in Crime)
