Salem Pregnancy Care Center

One ministry who has benefitted from our local "Neighborhood" projects is the Salem Pregnancy Care Center. The staff and volunteers of SPCC are part of a great ministry reaching out to young women who find themselves facing a crisis pregnancy. Some of the services that are offered are as follows:

· Free laboratory quality pregnancy test with referrals for prenatal care, adoption, and housing.

· Factual information on pregnancy and all options, including:

o Fetal development

o Abortion procedures and associated risks (physical, emotional, spiritual)

o Single parenting

o Adoption

· Workbooks on the following topics:

o Basic decision making

o Single parenting

o Preparing for adoption

o Post-placement (after adoption)

· Counseling on relationship issues and positive life choices (Counseling is confidential and all programs and services are provided free of charge.)Client Programs H.O.P.E. (Help Offered through Parenting Education)

· Parenting classes using the Earn While You Learn curriculum

· Referrals for community services

· Vouchers awarded to enrolled participants that can be redeemed for maternity clothes, baby clothes, layette items, and baby furniture

· Spiritual guidance using biblical principlesClasses for Personal and Spiritual Growth and Development

· Her Choice to Heal -Addresses forgiveness and healing after abortion using a workbook (confidential/small group or individual/closed sessions)

· New Life -For personal and spiritual growth and development

· New Life Espanol -For personal and spiritual growth and development conducted in SpanishESL (English as a Second Language – NEW!

· Teaching our Spanish speaking clients the English Language

Men’s Ministry – NEW!

· Reaching out to the the men that are involved with our clients through mentoring and Bible Studies

Footstep’s Program – NEW!

· A program that connects our clients with a mentor; this mentor encourages the client to continue their education or actively seek employment

Parent’s Support Group – NEW!

· A place for the parent’s of those faced with a crisis pregnancy to meet, pray together and glean from God’s word

Community Involvement and Education Worth the Wait - Abstinence Until Marriage Education

· Healthy positive message on sexual purity to eighth grade students in Forsyth and surrounding counties

· Drama and medical presentations on saving all sexual intimacy for the marriage relationship
