Dear Fellow Ministry Worker,

Do you need some encouragement today? Are you feeling exhausted and weary? Do you feel like what you do doesn’t make a difference? Pastors….are you tired of blank stares looking back at you and seeing no evidence of spiritual growth within your church? Worship Leaders….are you tired of the battle of the worship wars that are never ending and it’s
wearing you down? Musicians…..are you tired of the repetitiveness of singing or playing the same songs over and over every night and the message of the music isn’t even reaching your own heart anymore so you can’t comprehend how it can possibly be reaching others? Missionaries…..are you so worn out from the day to day struggles you have to endure for you and your family on a consistent basis that you no longer have the energy to teach the Word? Church Staff…..are you just completely exhausted and wonder how you’re going to muster up any more energy to get through another week?  And do each of you battle the guilt that comes with feeling this way in the first place?

Let these verses encourage you today.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5

“Blessed by the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; 4 who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.”

Be encouraged because God is a God of mercy and comfort.
Be encouraged because God is there in your afflictions.
Be encouraged because you can be instruments of comfort to others.
Be encouraged because the comfort you receive from God comes through Jesus. (Matt Slick)

Lastly….rest on this.

2 Corinthians 4:1,”Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.”
Now…press on warriors, get out there, steady your souls and fight the good fight. It’s a matter of life and death!
